Women loading salt. The men are at the piles of salt, shovelling it onto the trays for the women to lift and hand to the men on the truck. Women doing all the heavy labour in #India, what a surprise! India and Indian culture is fundamentally sexist and misogynistic, despite women in power and temples to female goddesses.

I went to visit @be_lovedjules in the autumn of 1998 - my first visit to #Toronto - and the exchange rate was like 2.8 C$ to the £. Vinyl was massively out of favour and the combination of record shops and Monopoly money was lethal. Here’s a record I haven’t played enough, an old pressing of #ClockworkOrange. It’s not on Spotify and hard to find to listen to properly. But it’s quite magnificent. $4.99 or £1.78 at the time. Can you blame us for going bananas in the shops? Cheers #wendycarlos

The final @ghamusic gig ever, some super guests across the evening including the great Ian Dench from EMF who came on to perform #Unbelievable with the guys, #Starsailor’s James Walsh for two terrific numbers, #Bluetones’s Mark Morris rolled up for a great version of #SlightReturn and @themagicnumbers spent quite a lot of time on stage too…

Three weeks feels like an eternity between theatre visits, I may have ruined my life by developing this habit. Anyway, #Show 55 of #2017 is a brand-adaptation of #TheTwilightZone and I have foolishly booked the first night of the previews. Ah well. If they even get close to the feel of the original TV show I will be shivering. Hopefully another winner from @almeida_theatre this year, so far the last eighteen months have been spectacular. #theatre #londontheatre #london
