Took the wrong boat out of #Bombay, ended up sailing through an industrial zone surrounded by birds. Returned without any drama, but massive amounts of #securitytheatre in town makes up for it. Five-foot high barriers that can be moved by hand or vaulted over, inconvenient for everyone but terrorists: there’s no way out short of jumping into the sea. #india

One year, #GeorgeMichael was that twat from #Wham! and the next, he was suddenly, well George Michael. #Faith just seemed to come out of nowhere, and in the year of #MichaelJackson’s #Bad, held its own for airplay and visibility. Most other albums would have sunk without exposure. Packed with fantastic musicians like #HughBurns and glistening with crystal-clear production, it still sounds impeccable, and rewards being turned-up. I went to school with two of his cousins, and while I barely knew them, he was said to be an upstanding dude, a total #mensch, a generous geezer. Our loss. #RIPGeorgeMichael
