#HOLOCAUSTMEMORIAL: walking through, one is quickly engulfed by the stones becoming bigger even as the floor slopes down. While considering those memorialized, I also admire how #Germany - well, West Germany, at least - has continuously engaged in deep reflection and reckoning with their past in a way very few countries have. #berlin #holocaust #memorial
#WATER: annnnnd… relax. What a day. Moving water with complex lighting, is something cameras excel at and eyes cannot see. The movement can’t be followed by the eye so it’s impossible to perfectly visualize it. Waterfalls are generally very simply lit, and much easier to figure out. Shallow water, on the other hand, hides all manner of complexity, which makes it an absolute delight to shoot and one of the last bastions of surprise when you’ve shot it all and know what you’re going to get. Strongly recommended. #river #reflections
