Presumably the inspiration for his exceedingly good Apple pies, @kubrickslenscap, although he eventually settled on the more conventional Bramley apples nearby. I don’t think you can really trust the #NationalFront, sorry, National, erm, Trust with looking after places that ostensibly belong to the nation, given the prices they charge and rules they set. They seem to squander cash on dipshit obsessions like ‘restoring’ perfectly decent gardens on manor houses to the design shown on a 400-year-old painting, while thousands of years of more humble heritage is begging for funding. But no, to hell with Windy Miller, Kipling’s cabbage patch needs maintaining and his Rolls-Royce needs a rebuild. #priorities
