Future Boxing Champions of Cuba

Cuban Boxers have a great reputation and record, despite their limited training facilities. The gym here is rudimentary, to say the least. A patchwork canvas of a ring, no water, no electricity, empty deodorant bottles used for skipping rope handles. An old empty gas cylinder used as a bell, hit with a long bolt with a nut rusted onto the end.

But these are pretty peripheral; the effort, training and practice is what makes these kids and teenagers outstanding.

Despite the facilities, they keep bringing back Olympic Medals. Cuban Boxers are second only to the US in Olympic success.
