Show #110 is a beautifully-produced, well-crafted and delicately-acted play @nationaltheatre about sexual desire and the complexities of gender roles that is also the dullest play I have seen in years. #whenwehavesufficientlytorturedeachother. Martin Crimp - and possibly Katie Mitchell (whose work I love) have a take on sex that is laughable and amateur, but the actors are splendid, if soporific. #Cleansed was amazing. This is ⭐️⭐️⭐️ at best despite #CateBlanchett’s efforts. #londontheatre #theatreseason2018to2019 #theatre

Cleansed! Not quite as shocking and brutal as made out, although a large swathe of people left, either unhappy at getting exactly what they had paid for, or physically sick from the performance, and at least person was shocked enough to cry out loud.
