#HOBONICHI2021: when the personal highlight of my year is the annual delivery from #Japan, you may scoff, but I contend that in these troubled times it shows incredible optimism to order a 2021 diary. So there. #stationery #hobonichi #techo

Out with the old and in with the new, in this case, the #Japanese #Hobonichi #Techo for #2017 as it has narrower spacing for my tiny handwriting. #stationery #geek

#5. One last pic. Not in my #pencilcase, but always nearby. My favourite pen, the one used everyday because I really love the act of writing. It’s bolted into my #hobonichi planner, and it’s a #Pilot #Capless or #VanishingPoint with an #EF nib. The nib retracts into the barrel with a click. No cap to lose, never dries out, always ready to write without a shake. Never leaks, and the clip acts like a grip for your fingers and stops the pen rolling off onto the floor. And the nib is as smooth as you like, if you’ve never used a #fountainpen, this is the one to get. Your hand and arm won’t hurt writing with this - ballpoints need so much pressure to make a mark, but this doesn’t. So much love for this pen. Filled with #Diamine #RedDragon ink. One of my friends took a very close interest in this pen a while back, which led to an anonymous tip to their other half and a particularly good Christmas present. Beg, borrow or buy one. An absolute must. #stationery

Alas, no sign of these at #hyperjapan - they’re missing a trick - but I’m wondering when I can switchover… #planner #hobonichi #techno #手帳

And this is my current #hobonichi with a 2016 #rosso #leather cover. At the price, I am not going to be buying a new cover every year, people must be crazy if they do. But having used the #technoplanner for a while now, I am definitely sticking with it for years to come, so one cover will suffice.

I have these really cute #stencils for my #hobonichi. I’ve never used them, not really fountain-pen-friendly, and I imagine schoolchildren would be more interested, but I ought to try them out…
