#TREESTYLE: prompted by my old pal and classmate @debscastrow, I too have gone full late-Don McCullin and shooting brooding landscapes. Unlike him, my latest inspiration is replaying the post-apocalyptic world of Half-Life 2 and I’ve spent the last three seasons photographing the native trees while under its influence. #AUTUMN: #Hamburg is quite beautiful, instead of the many parks we have in London, the entire city is lined with trees. The parkland at #PlantenUnBlomen is particularly well-kept, the Japanese garden only augmenting it rather than being a highlight. The (largest in Germany) open-air ice rink should be coming soon, and then there’s a bit of a fight to turn it back into a giant #rollerskate park from April to September, as the new surface isn’t skate-friendly… #Germany #park #leicapower #summilux

#LEICAQ2: goodbye M9, hello Q2. The first month shows that this is the closest possible modern-day equivalent to my beloved #ContaxG2, the fixed lens is unimpeachable, it is whisper-quiet and 47.3MP means huge flexibility in cropping. Perfect EDC camera as it’s pretty weather-sealed. And wifi pictures straight to my phone. Amazing.
