So your humble correspondent will be covering a full season of #theatre all the way into 2019, and this is the opener, #Jubilee, but still #3 of the season. An adaptation of the original - and utterly shit - Derek Jarman film. But, has the wonderful #LucyEllinson in it. #londontheatre #theatreseason2018to2019 #lyrichammersmith

The End. A year well-spent, project target was one #show a week and I hit 57 in total. Changed my world, changed my life, here’s most of the evidence to remind me in years to come. Amassed a vast amount of theatre knowledge, met many excellent fellow theatregoers and seen mostly fabulous shows. Top five of the year could be #AnatomyOfASuicide, #BarberShopChronicles, #Ink, #FilthyBusiness and #Follies but almost impossible to choose. Next year’s project? Who knows. #theatre #londontheatre

The penultimate #show of #2017, which is number #56! And it’s gotta be #TheSnowman, really :) I prefer the book, blah blah blah, but looking forward to it before heading home for Christmas dinner - German-style - Merry Christmas everybody! #theatre #londontheatre #christmas

Three weeks feels like an eternity between theatre visits, I may have ruined my life by developing this habit. Anyway, #Show 55 of #2017 is a brand-adaptation of #TheTwilightZone and I have foolishly booked the first night of the previews. Ah well. If they even get close to the feel of the original TV show I will be shivering. Hopefully another winner from @almeida_theatre this year, so far the last eighteen months have been spectacular. #theatre #londontheatre #london

#Yaaaas Show #54 of #2017 is #Network! Loved the film, and it’s #BryanCranston’s #london stage debut. Hoping #IvovanHove doesn’t fuck it up like everything else. It’s the first proper night after press night. #Letsdothis #theatre #londontheatre Verdict: 6/10, ropey production, poor attention to detail, Caroline Faber’s accent made me cringe and Tunji Kasim’s acting and accent were both pretty flakey. Some good moments, but some poor camera lens choices and poor production choices. NT can definitely do much better. Good work from Bryan Cranston.
