A bit late, but mostly because #Show #40 of #2017 was a bit dull. #QueenAnne which was planned to be an interesting bookend to #MaryStuart, except that Mary Stuart beats the pants off it hands-down. Still, first and probably last visit to @theatreroyalhaymarket - a well-kept #theatre in the West End. #londontheatre
Show #36 of #2017 is #Road @royalcourttheatre , #JimCartwright’s play from the 1980s and while the whole cast are great, @fayemarsay86 was bloody awesome. No idea who she is or where she came from, and this is her stage debut. Poster says she’s in Doctor Who, Game of Thrones and Black Mirror but I’ve never seen any of those and probably never will. Anyway, dodgy accents aside, pretty good show! #londontheatre #london #theatre

And show #33 of #2017 is the second part of #AngelsInAmerica, #Perestroika. Four hours, epic, petered out at the end unsurprisingly, rather limp ending, but a magnificent achievement by the cast and crew, an absolute must-see, and your only chance is probably #NTLive now as long as you can handle seven hours of this. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ out of five. #theatre #londontheatre #london #nationaltheatre
Show 31 of #2017 is part 2 of the @almeida_theatre‘s amazing season on the nature of #truth, #Ink. About the 1969 rebirth of The Sun, with #rupertmurdoch in full flow. This place is my favourite #theatre in #London right now and I’m sure that this will be a cracker. #jamesgraham #londontheatre
