RICHMONDPARK | Monday, November 29, 2021

#RICHMONDPARK: for someone unencumbered with mass, I have a lot of static inertia when in bed or on sofa, but I staggered into the park for the time in ages, hoping the cold would deter the lukewarm Insta crowd - it did - and the deer were so relaxed I didn’t spot them until I was almost among them. I am not a fan of zoom lenses, quite the opposite, but I concede that modern cameras makes their lack of speed irrelevant. And modern software fixes their compromises perfectly. #canon #5d4 #deer #landscapephotography #richmond #visitrichmond

RIVERLANE | Wednesday, November 20, 2019

12:31 PM

#RIVERLANE: imagine, if you can, an Amphibious Bus (Amphibibus?) as public transport. Straight along River Lane from #Petersham Road, down the slipway and into the Thames. How marvellous would this be? Slow, yesh, but the best way to travel in London. Up and down the slipways. #publictransport #richmond #visitrichmond #thames #london

THAMES | Monday, November 4, 2019

8:51 AM

#THAMES: love a foggy morning, especially when I have a camera handy. ‘Hamme’ in older English means ‘bend in the river’ and this is quite the right-hander here on the way to the station. Good morning. #richmond #visitrichmond #river #foggy #london

RIVERSIDE | Sunday, November 3, 2019

11:23 PM

#RIVERSIDE: walking the dog offers unlimited opportunities to meet new dogs and their staff. This nice lady - whose name I forgot to ask - was staff to Luther here, a seven-year-old #GermanShepherd, and b-o-y do I love those dogs and if I had the time to look after one as they deserved, I would be all over it. This lady does 3-4 hours walks with Luther, who is as friendly as you get, but hates squirrels and mice, hence his jaws are a bit boarded-up until they reach #PetershamMeadows a few more yards away and Luther can run like the wind. #alsatian #dogsofinstagram #richmond #visitrichmond

RICHMONDHILL | Sunday, November 3, 2019

#RICHMONDHILL: a memorial bench reads, ‘“A good spot for a fine pint.” As enjoyed by Edward (Steve) Gunningham. Who would have enjoyed the view, were it not for that tree!’ Below: the view. #memorialbench #visitrichmond #richmond
