#KRISTOFFER: following the “Laundry” sign from the street, I ventured further and further into the building before delightedly stopping at @titosironfist_, #Sarajevo’s Socialist Laundry. Kristoffer comes from America, and has clearly found his place surrounded by remnants of the former #Yugoslavia, keeping the values of #JosipBroz - #Tito - alive in this corner of #Bosnia. I could honestly have talked to him all day but only had a few minutes. Was excited to buy a t-shirt, though. 5 Stars. Would go again. #laundry #sarajevocity #socialism #photojournalism

#FIRE: the hills have been on fire since yesterday. I went up there as per the previous image and by the evening things were ablaze. The next morning, firefighting planes were making circuits, scooping up seawater and dropping it onto the fires. #croatia #tucepi #coast #sea #bushfire #wildfire

#RELAXING: I have been making some extremely dull and boring pictures while on holiday, but I am finding it very relaxing. I found some viewpoints marked on the map, so went up into the hills to find them. Nothing particularly exciting to note, but a pleasant view. What I didn’t know at the time, was that the hills behind me were quite likely on fire or about to be, and we would not see that until later that evening. #croatia #tucepi #coast #sea #leicaq2

#UNRIGHT: I walked smack into career criminal Stephen Christopher Yaxley-Lennon‘s latest grift to part people from their money, a protest march to #Whitehall. A mess of incoherent ideas and confused messages, there were a LOT more marchers than I was expecting, and surprisingly little hostility from the crowd. I was standing there in full gig regalia as well, leather jacket and rock star trousers and hair everywhere, but the crowd were fairly amiable. I can understand and appreciate why vast swathes of the country are pissed off right now, even while they’re unable to clearly articulate why, and ripe for another grifter like Yaxley-Lennon or Farage to rally them. The police officer nearby who filled me in on what was going on, and we had a brief chat about the difficulty of reasoning with such a jumble of unclear and contradictory ideas. Charles Babbage’s remark seems fitting, “I am not able rightly to apprehend the kind of confusion of ideas that could provoke such a question.”

#KENNY: after accidentally walking headlong into Tommy Robinson’s protest march staggering down Millbank - and staggering they were due to the endless cans of cider and lager that were being consumed - I stopped off at the Tate in my old neighbourhood and walked back up towards Strutton Ground, and bumped into Kenny here.
