#THAMESMEAD: throwback to that time @gwingwyn and I got up early to visit this fascinating and very unusual place where a council estate sits on a wildlife sanctuary. I hear things have developed a bit since 2007 but as one resident told me, “they’ve been saying they’d improve it for twenty years and nothing’s happened,” so a further trip awaits one day. #swan #london #councilestatelife #southlondon #housingestate #wildlifesanctuary
