Three weeks feels like an eternity between theatre visits, I may have ruined my life by developing this habit. Anyway, #Show 55 of #2017 is a brand-adaptation of #TheTwilightZone and I have foolishly booked the first night of the previews. Ah well. If they even get close to the feel of the original TV show I will be shivering. Hopefully another winner from @almeida_theatre this year, so far the last eighteen months have been spectacular. #theatre #londontheatre #london

Teddington Lock last night en route to the #tideendcottage #pub Recently, the weirs here have been lifted for the annual draw-off which is why you may have seen the river particularly low at times. #Yaaaas Show #54 of #2017 is #Network! Loved the film, and it’s #BryanCranston’s #london stage debut. Hoping #IvovanHove doesn’t fuck it up like everything else. It’s the first proper night after press night. #Letsdothis #theatre #londontheatre Verdict: 6/10, ropey production, poor attention to detail, Caroline Faber’s accent made me cringe and Tunji Kasim’s acting and accent were both pretty flakey. Some good moments, but some poor camera lens choices and poor production choices. NT can definitely do much better. Good work from Bryan Cranston.

It’s the last night, I nabbed the last ticket. Fabulous show, hopefully @<a href=”https://www.instagram.com/jameswrighton“>jameswrighton and @rjcrookshank will let me know when it’s next on… 52 shows this year, so target hit and it has truly been the most fantastic year, never been so happy and theatre has probably done that. #Show #48 of #2017 was a fabulous surprise at @parktheatre: #WeShadows about connecting the search for identity with #EnochPowell. I’ve learned more in one evening than I have in the last week. A slightly mushy start but found its rhythm quickly and settled into possibly the most insightful play I’ve ever seen… #londontheatre #theatre #london

Show #46 of #2017 is another from #JamesGraham, #LabourOfLove, and I knew nothing about the play when I walked in. #MartinFreeman was indisposed, but no matter, because #TamsinGreig was cracking as always. Competing with #Ink a few doors down, it has to be said that Ink is the better play and production, due to some dodgy performances from the non-leads here and too much rambling, but still a good night of #londontheatre #theatre #london
