Deposit at Hampstead Theatres | Tuesday, May 30, 2017

6:14 PM

Show #26 of #2017 (after an exhausting few weeks) is #Deposit, #MattHartley’s play about two couples sharing a one-bedroom flat in London for year in order to save up… First performed right here @hampstead_theatre #downstairs in 2015, it’s been revised with some cuts, older characters to add to the desperation, and rising prices. And #Brexit “is the unspoken monster at the epicentre of the play”. Great to be back here. #theatre #londontheatre #london

Rosencranz And Guildenstern Are Dead and over-rehearsed at Old Vic Theatre | Sunday, May 7, 2017

11:38 PM

Show #22 of #2017 was a hyped-up #RosencranzAndGuildensternAreDead by the marvellous #TomStoppard. A decent @oldvictheatre production let-down by the two leads barking their well-rehearsed lines far too quickly at each other to give any resemblance of actual witty repartee. Totally overcooked. #DavidHaig was excellent, however. #theatre #london #londontheatre

Nuclear War at Royal Court Theatre | Wednesday, May 3, 2017

9:13 PM

Show #21 of #2017 was the monumentally incomprehensible #NuclearWar @royalcourttheatre. Love the #RCT but scheduling a lullaby at 21:15 was unfair to those of us who don’t live at the #RCT. Not terrible but cheaper to read #IsaiahBerlin and be on the fast train to Slumberland. #NightNight #london #theatre wherever you are tonight

Waterloo Blackout | Tuesday, May 2, 2017

9:07 PM

Lights just went out at #Waterloo! Boards off, escalators shut down, gates failed open, ticket machines went to blue screen and it’s actually pretty cool :) #london
