#BurningNight at #LFF2019, a Brazilian film set in Rio. Some very poor choices on the photography front, hand-held DSLRs really get shown up on a big screen, and shallow depth of field everywhere gives no context in a shot. Poor flare control means always feeling like you’re looking at the action through a shop window. No real plot, but also no changes of pace, huge potential in story but squandered needlessly. @britishfilminstitute #londonfilmfestival
