#SHOTTOWER: the only remaining evidence of the #HounslowGunpowderMills established in the 15th or 16th century here is this shot tower, a small one, which was restored in 2004 and this section of #CranePark is nothing like I remember as a kid. #TATE: the star of the show at this time of year is, for me, the #rose garden on #Millbank (they look just like #peonies but I’m pretty sure that the leaves give it away) and they emit a marvellous aroma, as great roses should.
